February felt like a whirlwind, but in the best way possible! This month was full of sweet moments, small victories, and a whole lot of love — and I’m so excited to share some of our favorite highlights with you.
This February, our family set out to do an act of love or service every day. We made meals for friends, wrote heartfelt notes, and gifted flowers to brighten someone’s day. My personal favorite? Mailing “hugs” to my brother and his family who live states away — I love finding creative ways to stay connected beyond our usual FaceTime calls.
On the flip side, this month wasn’t without its challenges. Parenting has felt extra hard lately — like no matter what we say or do, the kids just aren’t listening. So, Nate and I decided to shift our focus on changing our behavior first — aiming to set better examples and show more Christ-like love. That’s actually what sparked our acts of love challenge, and honestly, it’s been such a powerful reminder to choose kindness, even on tough days.
But you know what? Even with the hard moments, there was so. much. good. Here are a few of our favorites from February!
Speaking of Target… if you know, you know — the kids always want to buy everything in sight. I was honestly over the meltdowns, so I started telling them they couldn’t get it today, but they could hold it up and let me take a picture of it so we could “remember it for next time.” Bonus points for telling them Daddy could buy it later — works like a charm! 🤣
Jayce is obsessed with boiled eggs (seriously, he could eat them all day!). I grabbed an egg boiler from Walmart for just $6, and it’s been a total game-changer. Add water, pop in your eggs, and forget about it — it beeps when they’re done, and they peel perfectly every time. Jayce even peels them himself (he’s 4!).
I’m currently fully booked through April and have only two spots left in May! If you’re hoping to book a spring session, now’s the time to reach out.
Thanks for following along with our little life updates! I’d love to hear what made your February special or if you’ve discovered any fun hacks, favorite finds, or go-to date night ideas. Drop a comment below or connect with me on Instagram — I’d love to hear from you!
